Colorful!

This picture was taken on the AU campus in the Spiritual Center.  I love stained glass so it was the natural place to go.   I like the contrast between the panes of stained glass and the wall, which just looks black because it was so dark in the chapel.

Silhouette

This is my first “posed” photograph and I’m actually the one posing!  This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a model so I worked it, haha.  I was kind of intimidated by the prospect of representing the idea of “silhouette” through photography but I had another of those ‘ahah’ moments, especially with the sun out today.  All my photography seems to be from ‘ahah’ moments – I’m still trying to decide if that is a problem?

SHAPE

If I had my way, my photo for “Shape” would have been a MAGNIFICENT afro I saw a man sporting on the Metro.  Alas, I still need to work up the photographer’s courage to ask a complete stranger if I can take their photos.  Fortunately, another idea struck me!

While price increases and delays are not things to pleased about, Washingtonians can justifiably be proud of the appearance of their Metro system.   I think the Metro corridors are striking so I decided to take a couple of photos.  I tried to use different angles and I played with some of the settings on my Samsung .  I’d like to try more photographs inside Metro as I get more familiar with my camera.

POWER!

I was racking my brain thinking of an image that would fit the word “power.”  You think that wouldn’t be hard living in Washington, DC – the center of political power in the United States.  I didn’t want to be obvious and take a picture of the White House.  Then it occured to me that I should travel to one of my favorite spots in DC…Logan Circle.

Hello world!

Welcome to my blog.  Let’s start with why I named it “mistertunde.”  Well, people always seem to laugh when they hear that.  Initially, it was just my email address.  Now, it seems to be one of my nicknames.
